If you are looking for a dropship company supplier, this is very important thing that you have to consider. Make sure the shopping page contain 'item update' for every single item.

Why you need this features?

Imagine you are listing about 300 items from the dropshipper company. One day, 2 of the items are out of stock (item A & item B).  They remove the listing from their website. They didn't tell you about this. You still have the listing for item A & B on ebay.

The next day someone bought item A from your inventory. You log on to the dropship acount, make an order, but the item is not in stock anymore.

What you have to do?
The best thing, contact the buyer, say sorry and refund the payment. If you are lucky, they will forgive you and 1 positive feedback given. If you are not lucky enough, negative feedback might be yours.

If the dropship company is a big scam, you'll find results of discussion in blogs or forum exposed. If you can't find any, that means, the company is 75 - 90% reliable for dropshipping.

When you heard people keep saying they make money from the internet, what is the first thing cross into your mind? Did you realize that there are so many opportunity to generate money from the internet bisness?

For some people, the most sweet thing is when they get the first dollar - $1.00. It is really meaningful because it's hard to believe how suddenly you are credited with a dollar just facing your laptop.

Online bisnes with own domain + hosting OR start with ebay?

I've started using my own domain with paid hosting again for my online business (previously already got one but the hosting company was terrible).  Now my items listed in both : my own online store and ebay. If someone ask me where to start, I will definitely say start with ebay. It will help you build your reputation and skills in communicate with customers, deals with problem and gain more experience and exposure.

The problem with most ebay site, for sure you are being 'taxed' by ebay. You'll be charged for listing fees, and final value fees. More money will be charged if you are using their special feature such as featured item, bold, gallery etc. Sounds too much but if you are using your own online store, you have to pay only once (per year) for the hosting. Normally the domain comes free with the hosting package.

The advantage selling through:
ebay :
1. NOt much promotion needed to gain traffic (beware of others ebayer skills to expose their products listing)
2. All features and templates are ready to be used, just click - click and you are done.

own online store:
1. Free as many listing as you want
2. Nobody will give VERO, unlike ebay.

The disadvantage selling through :

ebay:
1. Fees charged
2. Final value fees charged
3.Too much competition to expose your items

own online store:
1. Promotion needed to gain traffic (visitors)
2. You have to convince buyers that you offer secure transaction.
3. Setup process will be very long, before everything ready [you need to customize shipping, currency etc]

Ebay announcement: NEW cross border trade terms of agreement

Starting 1 March 2010, when you list on eBay US and eBay UK sites, you will be asked to accept an additional eBay’s Cross Border Trade Terms of Agreement. 

This is due to the new Resolutions process that has been introduced for buyers who purchase on eBay US and eBay UK, and applies when buyers claim an item was not received or was not as described in the listing. The policies relating to the two sites differ in certain areas and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with both.

• You authorize eBay International AG (“eBay AG”) to remove funds from your PayPalaccount to reimburse eBay for amounts paid to the buyer under eBay’s Buyer Protection Policy;
• Where there are insufficient funds in your PayPal account or where PayPal is not the recoupment method, you will provide other automatic payment method to eBay;
• eBay AG will have the right to recover from you amounts paid to the buyer for current or future transactions;
• If no automatic payment method is available, you will have to reimburse eBay AG in full, and in a timely manner, for amounts paid to the buyer as requested by eBay AG;
• If you are found responsible for a transaction with a buyer and the buyer receives a payment under the eBay Buyer Protection, you will not receive a refund of your listing fees; and
• If you choose the “international shipping” option and/or offer to make listings available to buyers in other countries, eBay AG may recoup all amounts due to buyers as a result of your transactions under various eBay Buyer Protection Policies worldwide.

You will be required to accept these new terms in order to continue selling on the eBay site where the Agreement occurs. These new terms once accepted will be incorporated into the User Agreement you have with eBay AG by reference.

It seems the new agreement will give more advantage to buyers. In some cases, the parcel will take longer than it use to be. Normally, trusted seller will try their best to pack items and get it shipped ASAP. What happen during the shipment is totally out of seller control. Anyway, the shipment always come with tracing no.

This new policies will protect more of the buyer while seems too bad for sellers. It is true those new agreements are not a good news for sellers, but ebay has to do this as there are more and more cheats by international sellers.

I wish this won't give me much headache afterward.

Ebay masih lagi lubuk duit

Saya baru sahaja mendaftar dengan panduan asas dan advance ebay dan mempromosikannya sebagai produk affiliate. Untuk pengetahuan anda, saya pernah merasai status sebagai power seller samada menjual produk sendiri, mahupun sebagai dropshipper.

Saya juga pernah merasai sengsara kena 'hold' akaun dengan ebay ( tidak dapat menambah listing baru) - akaun paypal juga kena access limit (tak boleh transer fund / withdraw). Semuanya gara-gara persiapan yang tak cukup lengkap untuk mengharungi dunia dropship. Itulah padahnya bila buat sesuatu dalam keadaan terburu-buru. Mula-mula memang paypal saya berdesup-desup masuk USD / GBP, tak lama lepas tu, zzzuuuppppp!!! Kena hold akaun saya, bukan satu tapi 2 akaun (produk sendiri dan produk dropship). Gelap seketika dunia ni rasanya.

Sekarang saya masih lagi berurus niaga menggunakan satu akaun sahaja menjual produk sendiri. Insyaallah satu lagi akaun akan diaktifkan semula (yang ni dah ada 8 feedback positif - pernah kena hold) untuk berurus niaga dengan dropship company. Saya akan pastikan akaun ini tidak menjejaskan akaun utama saya (akaun baru setup)- akaun yang lama masih lagi belum boleh aktif sebagai seller. Ada beberapa langkah berjaga-jaga yang saya ambil, mungkin saya akan buat post tentang ini suatuhari nanti.

Saya mula rasa terpanggil untuk menebus kekecewaan saya membuat ebay dropship dimana pada pertengahan tahun 2008, akaun ebay dan paypal saya dibekukan. Ini mengakibatkan pendapatan utama online saya (ebay) tertutup sama sekali. Patah semangat jangan katalah, memang lemah longlai. Terus tersungkur lemah tak bermaya untuk 'ber Ebay'

Tapi ciri-ciri seorang usahawan kena berhati kering, kena kental dan tidak mudah patah semangat.
